Police, School District Warns Of Possible Abduction Attempt

BURNSVILLE, Minn. (AP) — Police and the local school district are warning parents of a possible child abduction attempt in Burnsville.

A police report says a 6-year-old girl was standing at her school bus stop Tuesday morning when she was approached by a man in a silver compact car with white letters on the passenger side. Authorities say the man got out of the car, opened the door for the girl, then realized he was being watched and sped away.

The report describes the man as white, middle-aged, overweight, balding and wearing a gray sweatshirt.
