Police Renewing Plea For Information In Woman's Beating Death

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a suspect after a woman assaulted back in September died last week from her injuries.

Police say the incident happened in the early-morning hours of Sept. 3. At about 1 a.m., police were called to a report of one down near the area of E. Lake Street and 12th Avenue South. When officers arrived, they discovered a Native American female, later identified as 30-year-old Rebecca Rose Anderson, severely beaten and unconscious.

Anderson died from her injuries on Thanksgiving Day. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled her death a homicide.

After asking for help in the case in October, the Minneapolis Police Department is renewing its efforts to get information on the attack. Authorities say there is a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction person responsible.
