Suspicious Letter Prompts Brief Evacuation At Uptown Planned Parenthood

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- All employees of the Planned Parenthood building in Uptown have returned to work after a brief evacuation.

According to Minneapolis Police Sgt. Catherine Michal, the Minneapolis Fire Department was initially dispatched to the location -- 1200 Lagoon Avenue -- at 12:09 p.m. on the report of a substance found in an envelope.

Minneapolis police and fire crews responded and no harmful substances were found in the package, so everyone was allowed back into the building.

The evacuation lasted 10 minutes.
