Police: Pedestrian, 84, Dies After Being Hit By Car In West St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in the south metro say a female pedestrian struck by a car Wednesday morning has died.

The West St. Paul Police Department says the collision happened just before 10:00 a.m. on the 1300 block of Marthaler Lane.

First responders found the victim, an 84-year-old woman, unconscious with severe trauma. The woman was taken to Regions Hospital where she later died.

Police say the driver, a 57-year-old woman from West St. Paul, stopped and is cooperating with the investigation. There were no signs of impairment.

The incident remains under investigation.
