Police: Pedestrian Hit By Van In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a woman was injured late Sunday morning after being hit by a van while crossing a street in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis Police said the incident happened just before 11 a.m. on Cedar Avenue near 29th Street. Authorities said the woman was running across Cedar Avenue in the area when she was hit by a van traveling northbound. Police said it appears the woman may have been crossing the street to catch a bus that was pulled over at a bust stop on the other side of Cedar Avenue. She was not in a crosswalk when she was hit.

The woman was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries, but there has been no update on her condition. The name of the woman was not released, and her age is not known.

The driver of the van stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police. The incident is under investigation.
