State Patrol Identifies Pedestrian Killed On I-94

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car on Interstate 94 in St. Paul, according to St. Paul Police Department.

Two lanes of eastbound I-94 were closed at John Ireland Blvd. in St. Paul. The exit to 5th Street, 10th Street and Western Avenue was also closed for part of Monday morning.

The pedestrian was taken to Regions Hospital in serious condition. Later Monday afternoon, authorities confirmed the pedestrian had died as a result of injuries sustained in the incident.

The Minnesota State Patrol identified the victim as 54-year-old Munson Walker III.

St. Paul Police are still investigating.
