Police Officer Recovering After Car Crash In Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Minneapolis police officer is recovering after being involved in a crash early Friday morning.

According to Minneapolis police, the accident occurred just before 2 a.m. on 28th Street and  Blaisdell Avenue South.

Police said the officer was trying to catch up to someone or something when the officer struck a parked car.

There was no one inside the car when it was hit.

The officer was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, and is expected to be OK.

The accident is currently under investigation.
