Police: Man Flees Car Accident, Leaves Two Injured Children

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – St. Paul Police are seeking a man who allegedly left two injured children in a car that was stuck in a construction hole early Tuesday morning.

According to police, officers responded to a call of a single car accident around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday morning near Hazel Street and Mechanic Avenue.

Upon arrival, police saw a car stuck in a construction hole and heard screaming coming from the vehicle.

Police found  an 8-year-old and a 14-year-old inside the car.

They were transported to Regions Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the driver of the car was identified as 45-year-old Earl Ward, of St. Paul.

Police are asking for assistance in locating Ward.

He has been known to frequent Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center, Minn.
