Police: Man Attempted To Lure Young Girls Into His Car In South Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police in Minneapolis say they're looking for a man who attempted to lure several young girls into his car in south Minneapolis Tuesday morning.

Police say witnesses reported the man in an older, green SUV near the intersection of West 26th Street and Pleasant Avenue South at around 9:30 a.m., offering rides to young kids to a nearby elementary school.

Witnesses told police the man -- described as an African male in his 40s with short hair -- first tried to pick up two junior-high-aged girls. When they declined, he asked two younger girls. When the witnesses warned the young girls of the man, he drove off.

Anyone with information on the case can call the MPD Tip 411 app, or text MPD plus your tip to 847411 (TIP411).
