Police: Man Attacked Ex-Girlfriend's Male Friend With Knife

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 29-year-old man is accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend's male friend with a knife Thursday morning at her Moorhead residence, according to police.

Moorhead Police were called to the Sanford Health Emergency Room at about 5 a.m. for a man being treated for multiple injuries in a knife attack at his friend's residence. The victim, identified by police as 31-year-old Richard Bold, identified the suspect as Brandon Bush.

Police said Bush entered his ex-girlfriend's residence in North Moorhead, discovered Bold asleep in bed and assaulted him with a knife. During the incident, the female resident and Bold were able to persuade Bush to stop. Police said Bush also refused to let the two leave the residence.

Several hours later, Bush left. At about 11 a.m., he was taken into custody without incident after being located at the Grand Inn Motel in South Moorehead.

Bush is currently in the Clay County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder and other possible charges.
