Police: Man Arrested In Granite Falls Charged With Murder

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in southwestern Minnesota say a 53-year-old man faces murder charges after a woman died Monday from injuries suffered in a suspected domestic assault.

Police say Chad Conway Laraby told them he hit his girlfriend after he thought she had taken his wallet.

When they arrived at the home, police found furniture overturned and empty liquor bottles on the floor.

Linda Boehme, 65, was flown to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she died as a result of severe head trauma.

Laraby was formally charged Wednesday in Yellow Medicine County with second-degree murder.

Police arrested him Monday afternoon while responding to a home on the 800 block of 8th Street. Boehm was unresponsive and appeared to have suffered head injuries in a domestic assault.

Laraby is currently in the Yellow Medicine County Jail, being held on $500,000 unconditional bail.

The crime remains under investigation.
