Police: Man, 31, Dies After Fight In Alexandria Park
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Alexandria say a 31-year-old man is dead following an overnight fight.
The Alexandria Police Department says the fight was reported at Legion Park shortly before 1 a.m Sunday. A caller said a man was down and seizing.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim with head trauma.
Emergency crews brought the Glenwood man to the Douglas County Emergency room, where he was pronounced dead.
His name has not yet been released.
Officers spoke with witnesses at the park and then detained a 19-year-old who was said to be involved. The 19-year-old was later released.
Police say there is no threat to the public and that the incident remains under investigation.
