Police: Man, 26, Critical After Falling From Railroad Bridge

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are investigating after a pedestrian was found injured near railroad tracks in Middleville Township early Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, Wright County Sheriff's Office received a call at 2:35 a.m. reporting a trespasser on the railroad tracks near County Road 5 SW and 51st Street SW in Middleville Township.

Officials from Burlington Northern Santa Fe told police they saw a man in dark clothing walking eastbound along the tracks.

Upon arrival, authorities found 26-year-old Kyle McAllister, of Dassel, near Oliver Avenue SW and County Road 4 SW.

Police said it appeared as though McAllister had fallen from the railroad bridge while walking.

McAllister was taken to North Memorial Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

Police said they do not know whether McAllister was stuck by the train or not.

The incident is currently under investigation.
