Police: Man, 18, Killed In North Minneapolis Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say an 18-year-old Edina man was shot and killed in north Minneapolis late Friday night. It was one of two deadly shootings over the weekend.

Minneapolis Police were called to the 2600 block of Knox Avenue North just before 11 p.m. on a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man dead and took another person into custody.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim Monday as Earl Lee Malone of Edina. The medical examiner ruled he died of a gunshot wound in a homicide. The incident remains under investigation.
