Police: Male Shot In Brooklyn Center, Suspect At Large

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities say a suspect is at large after a male was the victim of a shooting Sunday night at the Brooklyn Center Transit Center.

Police were called to a report of a shooting at about 7 p.m. on the 2900 block of County Road 10. When officers arrived, they located a male victim with a gunshot wound. It's not known if the victim was an adult or juvenile.

Authorities say the victim was conscious and alert at the scene and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown and he has not been identified.

The suspect fled the scene, and police do not have a description available. Police said they do not believe the shooting was random.
