St. Paul shooting in Hamline-Midway neighborhood leaves 1 dead
Police say one person is dead after a shooting early Thursday morning in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight on the 1500 block of University Avenue West, outside of the Midway Saloon.
Police say that when officers arrived at the scene they found a man who had been shot in the upper torso. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
Thursday's shooting marks the seventh homicide in St. Paul this year.
The shooting is under investigation.
