Motorcyclist Likely Targeted In Fatal Minneapolis Hit-And-Run, Police Say
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police say they are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash Tuesday afternoon as a homicide.
Officers were called to the 3100 block of Queen Avenue North at about 2:32 p.m. on a report of motorcyclist that was struck by another vehicle in an alleyway. The man wasn't breathing and didn't have a pulse, and was officially pronounced dead at Hennepin Healthcare.
Investigators now believe the man was struck on purpose, and the case is being worked on by the department's homicide unit.
Later Tuesday, another hit-and-run occurred about 2 miles northeast of this incident, at 40th Avenue and Sixth Street. A driver hit a child, who was injured, but expected to survive.
