Police Investigating Baby's Death In Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after a baby was found not breathing at a Plymouth apartment Wednesday morning, taken to a hospital and died.

Plymouth Police responded to the 6100 block of Vicksburg Lane at about 6:40 a.m. on a report that an infant was not breathing. When authorities arrived, emergency personnel made several life-saving efforts to revive the baby. The infant was taken to North Memorial Medical Center, where it was pronounced dead.

Police said the baby's death is under investigation, but there are no indications of it being suspicious in nature. Nobody has been taken into custody and authorities are waiting for the Hennepin County Medical Examiner to determine the baby's cause of death.
