Police Investigating After 1 Dead From Gunshot Wounds In Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is dead after being shot in Minneapolis late Sunday evening.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, around 10 p.m. officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 3700 block of 1st Avenue South.

Upon arrival, they located a man lying in an alley way. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect(s) had already fled.

The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The victim's identity has not been released at this time.

Police do not have anyone in custody. This is the city's 38th homicide of the year.

Officials said they will be adding extra patrols in the area and ask that anyone with information call 911.
