Police Investigating 2 Fatal Crashes In Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A man suspected of driving drunk and causing a fatal crash has been booked into the Dakota County Jail.

The crash that killed 34-year-old Erin Randall of Richfield was one of two fatal collisions in the Twin Cities Sunday. The Minnesota State Patrol says the 25-year-old man being held on a possible vehicular homicide charge struck the victim's car, sending the two vehicles down an embankment along Highway 13.

The second crash happened on Interstate 694 in Anoka County. The State Patrol says 23-year-old Matthew Roessler of Brooklyn Park died when he drove the wrong way down the highway and his vehicle hit another car head on.
