Police Arrest Suspect In 'Chaotic' St. Paul Fatal Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – St. Paul police say they've arrested a suspect in a shooting they described as "chaotic" that left one dead.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night. Officers were called to Indian Mounds Regional Park, on the city's east side.

Upon arrival, police found a large group of people. One man was suffering a gunshot wound. He later died. One other person was injured.

Investigators had a lot of witnesses to interview, some of which reported that a family gathering was taking place before the shooting.

"This was a barbecue that the family was having. They had a discrepancy and it wasn't good," neighbor Mike Huesmann said

On Monday, 24-year-old Prince Kavanaugh Williams of Minneapolis was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder, according to police.

The name of the man who was killed has not been released.
