Police Investigate Hoax Letter From Prior Lake H.S.

PRIOR LAKE, Minn. (WCCO) -- School officials, police officers and the postal service in Prior Lake are investigating after people reported getting an offensive hoax letter.

Police reported it's unclear how many letters were distributed, but putting anything in residents' mailboxes without paying postage is a federal crime.

Prior Lake school officials say they are investigating and have some strong leads as to who may be behind the prank.
