Police Investigate 2 Shootings In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are investigating after two different shootings involving the same people occurred in St. Paul Monday evening.

According to St. Paul Police, shortly before 6 p.m. two men with at least one gun tried to rob another man near the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Rice Street. The victim of the attempted robbery was also carrying a gun and had a permit to carry.

There was gunfire and the suspects drove off.

Police said the permit holder then chased the suspects.

When they got about a mile away, near N. Chatsworth Street and Lafond Avenue, more gunfire occurred and one suspect was shot.

The suspects took off in a vehicle and the injured suspect was dropped off at Regions Hospital.

Police have been talking to the permit holder to get more information about the incident. They are still looking for the second suspect.

The incident is currently under investigation.
