M.E. IDs Victim In Fatal North Minneapolis Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man who was found shot in North Minneapolis and later died over the weekend.

Authorities say the incident happened around 11:40 p.m. Saturday at a home on the 1800 block of Hillside Avenue.

Police said they received a call regarding a shooting and, upon arrival, found the man lying in the entry way of the home.

The 35-year-old man died from his injuries on Sunday after being transported to North Memorial Medical Center late Saturday night.

On Tuesday, the medical examiner identified the man as Jerome Turner. Authorities said the shooting happened at his address.

The manner of death is homicide.
