Police: Facebook Feud Led To Attack In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Ramsey County authorities say a St. Paul woman beat another woman with a baseball bat after the strangers got into an argument on Facebook.

Thirty-one-year-old Bridget Olson is charged with second-degree felony assault in the Sept. 4 attack. Prosecutors say she hit the other woman in the face and head about 10 times with a mini baseball bat and slammed the victim's head onto the street.

Olson tells authorities she tried to get the other woman to stop fighting.

They say in the complaint the women began arguing on Facebook and the victim suggested to Olson that they meet to resolve the disagreement. Authorities haven't released the victim's name or disclosed the nature of the argument.

Ramsey County online jail records didn't indicate bond or an attorney.
