Police Investigate 2 Separate Fatal Shootings In Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis police continue to investigate a shooting that left one man dead Wednesday evening.

According to Minneapolis police, at 6:20 p.m. officers responded to a report of a shooting near 30th Avenue North and Emerson Avenue.

Upon arrival, police learned that two men were having an argument when the fight got physical.

Investigators believe that one man was shot while the suspect fled. The man died as a result of the gunshot wounds.

Police think the two men involved knew each other.

The victim's name has not yet been made public and no one is in custody.

This comes on the heels of a shooting Tuesday in south Minneapolis.

Around 7 p.m. a woman was shot at a bus stop near East Lake Street and Park Avenue. Police said Jessica St. Marie, 28, was shot several times. She later died at the hospital as a result of the shooting.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
