Police Kill Cow On The Loose In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Holy cow!

St. Paul police reported that a heifer was on the loose at the intersection of Pierce Butler Route and Lexington Avenue. Reports said the cow was running from the railroad yard near Snelling Avenue and Energy Park Drive.

It is unclear how the cow got loose, but she was part of the Minnesota British White & Park Association sale on the State Fair grounds, which is happening this weekend in conjunction with the Minnesota Beef Expo.

Animal Control said they did not have any tranquilizers strong enough to stop the cow, so St. Paul police had to "neutralize the situation."
