Police: Bones Believed To Be Human Found In Lakeville Park

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Lakeville Police say bones believed to be human have been found in Ritter Farm Park early Thursday afternoon.

At 2 p.m., police were called to the park located on 195th Street and I-35 where the bones were discovered. The bones have been in the park for more than a year, police believe.

Now, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension agents and a Crime Scene Investigations Unit is assisting Lakeville Police in the investigation. Police are expected to be on scene until at least Friday afternoon.

Police say there is no threat to park visitors or area residents.
