Police: Body Found By Kayaker Was Henry McCabe

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Mounds View say a body found by a kayaker Monday evening in the north metro was that of Henry McCabe, a man who's been missing since Labor Day.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office identified the body, saying that the 32-year-old's death does not appear to be suspicious, police say.

Still, the cause of death is undetermined, pending the results of a toxicology test.

Authorities say a kayaker found McCabe's body around 4:20 p.m. in Rush Lake in New Brighton, which is just south of Mounds View.

Officials in New Brighton says a ground search was performed Tuesday in the area around the lake, but no evidence of value was found.

McCabe, a resident of Mounds View and an employee of the Department of Revenue, went missing in the early morning hours of Sept. 7. He was last seen at a Holiday gas station in Fridley.

Mounds View police say his disappearance remains under investigation.
