Police Arrest Wanted Man Following Pursuit

RUSH CITY, Minn. (AP) — Officers from three law enforcement agencies pursued a driver who fled from an attempted traffic stop in Chisago County.

Sheriff's officials say a deputy attempted to stop the driver about 10:30 p.m. Sunday near Rush City. The motorist sped away on Interstate 35, later on rural roads and eventually through downtown Rush City. Pine County sheriff's deputies and the State Patrol joined the pursuit, which ended when an officer forced the man off Highway 70 and into a ditch.

The 37-year-old Sandstone man is wanted on a felony burglary warrant in Pine County.
