Police: 4-Year-Old Girl Rescued From Hotel Pool In Chisago City

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 4-year-old girl had to be rescued from a hotel pool in the north Twin Cities metro Saturday night after she was found unresponsive, according to the Lakes Area Police Department.

Officers responded to the Grand Stay Inn in Chisago City at about 8:06 p.m. Saturday on a report of an unresponsive juvenile in the pool. The girl was discovered by family members who were present in the pool area at the time. Authorities say two adults and two other young children were together in the pool.

When officers arrived, they found a 4-year-old girl unresponsive who started breathing shallowly after CPR was administered by hotel staff. Authorities administered oxygen, and the girl started to regain consciousness, cough and cry. She was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. After initial treatment, she was conscious, speaking and in stable condition.

The Lake Area Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Wyoming Police Department and Chisago County Reserve Deputies.
