Police: 2 Shot Near Target Field

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people are hospitalized after a shooting in downtown Minneapolis early Saturday morning.

According to Minneapolis Police, the shooting happened near a light rail platform on the 300 block of Fifth Street North near Target Field at about 3 a.m.

Police said they believed the men worked for a company that provided cleaning services to Target Field, however they do not know if they men were leaving the field at that time or if they had even been working that night.

The two victims, one of whom was shot in the stomach, were rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center. Both are expected to survive.
