Police: 2 Injured In Gunfight At Minneapolis Restaurant

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people, including an innocent bystander, were shot during a fight near downtown Minneapolis early Saturday morning.

Minneapolis police say they responded to a report of gunshots inside and outside of Asian Tastes on the 1400 block of Nicollet Avenue South just after 1 a.m.

A group of men started arguing with each other, and a gunshot was fired, striking a man in the leg.

The group then continued their fight outside, where several more gunshots were fired.

The men fled the scene before police arrived. Officers were able to recover a gun at the scene.

Police say a suspect showed up to Hennepin County Medical Center soon after with a gunshot wound to his torso.

The injuries of both the suspect and the bystander are considered non-life threatening.
