Police: 2 Injured After Shooting In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Minneapolis say a shooting early Sunday morning left one man with a bullet wound on his leg and another man with a grazing gunshot wound on his head.

Police say the shots were fired shortly before 3 a.m. in the area of North 4th Street and 2nd Avenue North. Upon arrival, officers found no victims and spoke with people in the area.

A short time later, two men were dropped off at Hennepin County Medical Center, suffering non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say that the preliminary investigation shows the shooting was not random and happened between two groups of people that knew each other.

Investigators said the shooting had nothing to do with the on-going weekend Pride festivities in Minneapolis.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police at 612-692-8477. Investigators say they are speaking with numerous people and reviewing surveillance video that may have captured the shooting.
