Police: 2 Hurt In Brooklyn Center Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) --Two men were hospitalized after a shooting in Brooklyn Center, according to police.

According to police, the shooting took place around 1:15 p.m. outside of Checker's Restaurant in the 600 block of 66th Avenue North.

Upon arrival, police found both men had been shot. One was shot in the head.

Police believe police a fight led to the shooting.

Both men were taken the hospital and have non-life threatening injuries.

Officers said they recovered two handguns at the scene and located one vehicle that was involved.

At this time two suspects are currently in custody.

Police do not believe this was a random crime. It is currently under investigation.
