Police: 2 Arrested In Brooklyn Park School Burglaries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Brooklyn Park police say they have arrested two men in connection to a rash of school burglaries.

Suspects were caught on video breaking into four schools recently: one on Sunday, Oct. 25, one on Saturday, Oct. 31 and two on Friday, Nov. 6. All of the burglaries occurred between 1 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

Police say the suspects took small electronics from the school, including laptops and iPods.

On Monday, police say 23-year-old Abdulwahid Hassan Hedo and 19-year-old Irving Van Marsaw were arrested in connection to the burglaries.

The investigation continues, so anyone with information related to the crimes is encouraged to call 911.
