Police: 2 Arrested Following Bloomington Hotel Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Bloomington police say they arrested a man and a woman in connection to a shooting Saturday night at a hotel near the Mall of America.

The shooting happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. at the Best Western Hotel on Killebrew Drive in Bloomington.

Police say a man went to visit a woman at one of the hotel's rooms, and when he arrived at the room, another man confronted him and assaulted him.

As the victim was leaving the room, the man shot him.

Police say the victim reported the incident in Faribault, which is about a 40 minute drive south of Bloomington. They said his injuries were not life-threatening.

On Sunday morning, officers arrested the man and the woman at the hotel. Their names have not been released.

Bloomington police and the Hennepin County Crime Lab are investigating the incident.
