Police: 1-Year-Old, Mom Taken To Hospital After Vehicular Mishap
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 1-year-old boy and his mother were taken to the hospital after an accident involving a car outside a townhome in Brooklyn Park Tuesday afternoon, according to Brooklyn Park Police.
Authorities said the car was on the 7500 block of Yates Terrace when it struck the child on the right side.
The mother of the child had apparently turned on the ignition to listen to the radio when the car began to roll. Police said the vehicle was likely not all the way in park mode.
The child's injuries were non-life threatening.
