Police: 1 Dead, 1 Arrested In North Minneapolis Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minneapolis police say one man is dead and another is in custody after a shooting at a home in north Minneapolis.

A police statement says officers responded to the home just before 8 p.m. Friday. They arrived to hear a person inside screaming for help. They found a man dead with a gunshot wound inside, and arrested another man inside the house. Officers recovered guns from the residence.

The statement says the two man involved knew each other and that there is no threat to the public.

The victim's name has not been released.

Officers from the 4th Precinct planned to go door to door Sunday to talk to neighbors to assure them that there is no threat to the neighborhood, and that the suspect is in custody.
