Plymouth Man Killed In Crash On I-394

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a 29-year-old Plymouth man was killed Saturday morning when his car hit a stalled freight conventional truck on Interstate 394 near downtown Minneapolis.

Officers were called at about 4:02 a.m. on a report of a crash on westbound I-394 near Dunwoody Boulevard. When authorities arrived, a freight conventional truck was stalled in the right lane of westbound I-394 when a Ford Fusion struck if from behind at freeway speed.

The driver of the Ford Fusion was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Mohamed Yassan Isse. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner ruled he died of multiple blunt force injuries suffered in the crash. What led up to the accident is still under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
