Plymouth Catholic School Fires Teacher Over Emails

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (AP) — A Catholic school in the Twin Cities area has fired a male teacher who it says sent inappropriate emails to female students.

Plymouth police said Thursday they are investigating the case at Providence Academy after being notified Wednesday. No arrests have been made.

Headmaster Todd Flanders said in a letter to parents that the teacher in the academy's middle and upper schools had been terminated Wednesday after administrators learned about the emails. He says the school took immediate action and is working with authorities.

Police say they will go through computers to see how many messages were sent and what they contained.
