Plymouth Police Search All Night, Find Person In Crisis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in the west metro say a person is safe after officers searched all night to find them in response to a welfare check.

The Plymouth Police Department says the officers responded to the welfare check Sunday night on the 5200 block of Black Oaks Lane North. An individual was believed to be suicidal and couldn't be located.

Several officers responded to the scene, and a State Patrol helicopter was later called in to help in the search.

Shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, officers found the individual unharmed. Police say the individual is with them and there is no danger to the public.

Law enforcement thanked neighborhood residents for their patience during the overnight search.
