Pine City Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 15-Year-Old Boy

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Pine City man is facing charges for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy, the Pine County Sheriff's Office said Friday.

Nathan Lawrence Johnson, 28, faces two felony counts of criminal sexual conduct and two counts of furnishing tobacco/tobacco related/electronic delivery device to a minor.

According to the criminal complaint, in April 2015 Johnson offered a 15-year-old boy money to clean his house. Johnson gave the boy cigarettes and chewing tobacco after he cleaned the house.

The 15-year-old cleaned the house again a few days later. The boy said while he was cleaning Johnson offered him a massage and proceeded to sexually assault him. Johnson sexually assaulted him at least one other time, the boy said.

After the boy turned 16, Johnson began asking for shirtless pictures in exchange for tobacco. In total, Johnson provided the boy with tobacco on at least seven occasions, the criminal complaint states.
