Pilot Killed In Eastern Minnesota Plane Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in eastern Minnesota say a small plane crash Sunday morning killed a 58-year-old man.

The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says the crash was reported around 10:30 a.m. at the Rush City Airport.

Officials say the ultra-light plane crashed shortly after takeoff. The pilot was the only person in the plane.

The identity of the pilot has yet to be released.

The cause of the crash remains unknown. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
