Pilot Injured After Crashing His Plane In Northeast Metro

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The pilot of a small plane was hurt after crashing his aircraft on the border of White Bear Lake and Hugo Sunday.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. on Highway 61 and County Road J, near Benson Airport in White Bear Township.

The pilot survived the accident and was removed from the wreckage by arriving firefighters. He's since been taken to a trauma center.
