Pianos On Parade, Keys 4/4 Kids Team Up In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Pianos are on parade this June in Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis Downtown Council, Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District and Keys 4/4 Kids are teaming up to promote music education and tourism of Minneapolis.

Throughout the month of June, uniquely designed pianos will be placed all throughout downtown Minneapolis. People are encouraged to view the art and play impromptu concerts on the instruments. Local musicians will also perform at certain locations.

Each Tuesday a new piano will be unveiled. There will be 25 in all. Each is designed by a local artist and is designed to represent a certain aspect of the city.

The pianos will be available for use from June 1 – June 30.
