How Pet-Friendly Are The Twin Cities?

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- When it comes to being pet-friendly, the Twin Cities are doing pretty good.

The website WalletHub looked at 100 cities for pet-friendliness and based its scores on how much it costs to care for a pet, health and wellness options for pets, and places for pets to spend time outdoors.

Minneapolis ended up in the middle, ranked at #48. St. Paul was even better, at #26.

Orlando, Florida, came in at No. 1. New York City was last.

St. Paul and Minneapolis did well when it comes to paying for pet insurance. The Twin Cities ranked first and second for having the lowest premiums.

Right now, nearly 80 million American households own a pet, which is an all-time high.
