Man Arrested In St. Paul Death Investigation

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man is in custody in connection to a homicide Sunday night in St. Paul.

Police say officers were called to a report of an assault on the 500 block of Aldine Street North at about 8 p.m. They arrived to find an injured man who later died.

Joseph Edward Fischer, 37, was detained at the scene and brought in for questioning. He was eventually arrested.

The name of the victim has not been released. St. Paul police are still investigating.
