People Generally Look At Their Phones Around People For 3 Reasons, Study Finds

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Do you have a friend who can't help checking their phone no matter where you are ... or maybe that person is you?

Now, new research out of Norway shows there are three main reason people take out their phones around others.

The first is to check social media, email or texts. Second, to avoid conversations with others.

Finally, third is to show people pictures or videos.
