Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Hwy 52 Near Cannon Falls ID'd

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities have identified the pedestrian struck and killed while walking on Highway 52 near Cannon Falls as a 42-year-old Stewartville man.

Authorities received a report of a crash involving a pedestrian at about 6:08 p.m. Sunday on Highway 52 at County Road 24 in Goodhue County. Authorities said the pedestrian was crossing the southbound lanes of the highway when he was hit by two vehicles, a 2004 Dodge Neon and a 2011 Ford Fusion.

The man, later identified as Patrick Daly, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge has been identified as 20-year-old Jeremiah Wint of St. Francis. The other driver has been identified as 44-year-old Michele Sosnoski of Eagan.

It's not known why Daly was on the highway at the time of the incident.
